'09 October - "Blue Ridge" accepted into the 39th Annual Open Juried Exhibit at York Art Association.

'09 October - "Plein Air Plus" group show at Gallery Blu in Harrisburg.

'09 September - Debut at Lynden Gallery in Elzabethtown as a guest artist, with Skyline Drive series.

'09 June/July "Favorite Vacation Spots" group show at Arts at 510.  Harriburg PA.

'09 June - "Storm Over the Cape" oil painting published in "International Artist" as a finalist in the
      magazine's world wide competition.

'09 May - "Lancaster Rail Road" and "Skyline Drive I" accepted into Arnold Gallery's Spring Juried Exhibition.

'09 April - "Philadelphia Sunset III" accepted into Philadlephia Sketch Club's "146th Annual
      Exhibition of Small Oil Paintings".  

'08  Fall - Four paintings featured in juried group show at Pennsylvania Governor's Residence.

'08 October - debut with 2 pieces at the newly opened "History on High - the Shop" in Carlisle PA.

'08 August - 3 pieces included in group show at F.A.N. Gallery in Philadelphia.  Also participated in
     shows in Aug '05, and March and August of 2004.

'08 One piece included in the New Arts Program Invitational Small Works Exhibition in Kutztown PA.

’07 May    3 paintings accepted into the Lebanon Valley College juried Spring Exhibit.

’07 Apr    "Manayunk Evening" accepted into Philadelphia Sketch Club juried small oils show.

'05   Spring  "American Regionalist Paintings of Adams County" at Musselman Library, Gettysburg College.   

’05 June    Present 1rst edition of 50 print sets of 17 Harrisburg ink drawings to Mayor Stephen Reed.
       Original 17 drawings and 3 large watercolors in permanent collection of Penn State University.

’05     Art Association of Harrisburg-Awarded first place in painting for "Along the Schuylkill"
       Show judged by Rob Evans.

’03 Sep One-man show at Reservoir Park Mansion. Featured stop for Harrisburg Gallery Walk.

Summer ’03 "Crossing" oil painting accepted into PA Art of the State exhibition at the State Museum.

’03 Awarded SOS , a competitive merit-based grant opportunity obtained through the
Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.   Received monies for a show expenses.

’02 Nov 3 pieces in Capitol Rotunda show in Harrisburg with PCCA. Also participated in 1999.

’02 Sep Solo show at Temple University in Harrisburg. Featured stop for Gallery Walk.
1 piece in Temple’s permanent collection.

’02 1 piece ( Mrs. Miller’s View ) accepted into Philadelphia Sketch Club juried small oils show 2002.

’99 Jul One-man show at PA Chamber of Commerce.

’98 Mar Represented in two-person show at the William Ris Gallery.

TEACHING

Adjunct drawing/illustration instructor at Central Pennsylvania College. Fall ’03, Spring 06.

’01-present    Teach Intro oil painting at Art Association of Harrisburg.

’99-’03 Taught Basic Design for Youth at Art Association of Harrisburg.
Taught Intro watercolor at Mechanicsburg Art Center.

Numerous painting demonstrations for regional art groups, like the Waynesboro Sketch Club ( oil-2008, 2010),  
and art clubs in Chambersburg and Carlisle.


Miscellaneous

’99-present - Various freelance illustrations in watercolor or pen & ink for realtors, businesses, magazines, colleges,
historical societies, builders, a golf course, Harrisburg International Airport, the US Army/Navy, the PA State Police Association, etc.

Professional musical performer (solo keyboard, guitar, percussion, Native American flute, voice, etc.)

2009 - Judge at Lititz Art Fair
’01-’03 On air representative for PCCA for Gallery 33, a live televised art auction on regional PBS affiliate.
’94-’98 US Air Force - Medical laboratory - ( blood bank, chemistry, microbiology,hematology, etc. )
Stationed in San Antonio TX and Washington DC.
Served at Andrews AFB, home of Air Force One.
Frequently served as shift leader at Andrews AFB.  Controlled physical access.
Painted mural at Malcolm Grow Medical Center near end of enlistment.
Honorable discharge as Senior Airman.  4 medals.  Basic Military Training Honor graduate.
Later received medal (civilian ) from the US Navy for a painting depicting the USS Susquehanna.
